My most recent project has been a quilt that I am doing as part of a quilt along with old red barn co. That is a great site. Her quilts are amazing and she is definitely an inspiration. I love living on PEI but the fabric choices are very limited so I chose a more vintage look for my quilt. So far I like it quite a bit. I am curious to see how she is going to have us quilt it. Here are the pics that I am going to put up on her flicker group. Let me know what you think.
I made the lemon squares that were posted on the bakerella blog site and they are sooooooooooo yummy! the crust was fantabulous. I also made some white bread as a treat for the kids and I am so glad that it turned out. Super soft but dense enough to cut it without it going wonky. I am so loving this whole made from scratch thing that I have committed to. The kids haven't had any store bought crap in their lunch which helps to keep me motivated. I have also kept my promise to not shop at walmart and that I feel great about. The garden is coming up very well but it doesn't look like our tomatoes are going to make it but for all that we planted I think this year will be a much better year than last. I guess that's enough ranting for now and pretty much sums up all that I've been up to over the past few days. So I am off to make a zig zag quilt. My first time so wish me luck.
